MArlee kind dillon, phd
Dr. Dillon has extensive experience researching and recruiting expert witnesses in a wide variety of litigation matters. For as long as she can remember, Dr. Dillon has been especially intrigued about the intersection between Psychology and Law. She has extensive experience designing and conducting research studies and is also skilled in the development and analysis of focus groups, mock trials, jury selection, voir dire, and case strategy.
Her research has covered the effects of expert testimony and judicial instruction on jurors’ perceptions, the effectiveness of court-appointed versus adversarial expert witnesses and various eyewitness identification issues. She has presented her research at prestigious conferences around the country.
Dr. Dillon’s unique background allows her to approach recruiting experts for her clients with a deep understanding of how the expert will be perceived. She considers not just the experience and knowledge of the expert but makes recommendations based upon other factors such as the expert’s presence and ability to convey often complicated information in a digestible way. Dr. Dillon believes it is this top to bottom approach that sets AP Expert Group apart from other expert witness search firms.
Dr. Dillon has worked as a Psychology Professor at John Jay College, where she taught undergraduate students how to design psychological research experiments and analyze results. With this experience, she is particularly skilled at describing complex legal, psychological and statistical issues in a simplified and comprehensible way.
Dr. Dillon holds a B.A. in Psychology from Temple University, and a Ph.D. in Psychology and Law from The Graduate Center, CUNY and John Jay College of Criminal Justice.
Lora anne biondo
Ms. Biondo has a comprehensive background working closely with prominent law firms to consult with experts on major patent litigation, securities and a wide variety of other complex litigation matters. Over the course of her career, Ms. Biondo has developed a deep understanding of the legal field, initially working at a prominent insurance defense litigation firm and then as an Associate at an expert witness consulting company. Her instincts and knowledge in a variety of industries have helped her to become extremely successful in her field.
Ms. Biondo also has extensive experience and far-reaching contacts in a variety of industries including law, banking, finance and insurance. Her core focus areas are technology, life sciences and banking and finance; however, Lora is also known for easily interpreting her clients’ needs for expert witnesses in niche subject areas and facilitating those connections. Her ability to understand the core issues at stake in each case allows her to quickly earn her clients’ trust in handling one of the most essential parts of the litigation.
Ms. Biondo earned her NASD Series 6 and Series 63 Securities Licenses in 2006. In addition to becoming extremely well versed in mutual funds, variable annuities, and variable life insurance products, during her time in the industry, Ms. Biondo developed strong relationships with countless experts in the field. Her vast knowledge in the industry allows her to quickly evaluate the needs of her clients in complex financial litigation, and her contacts allow her to quickly connect her clients with the appropriate expert for their case.
Ms. Biondo holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from Hofstra University. In addition to her NASD Series 6 & 63 Securities Licenses, she also obtained her Property and Casualty Insurance Licenses for both New York and Pennsylvania.
